Hawes & Curtis opens in Nigeria.

Hawes & Curtis, the premier shirt maker and hallmark of quality, is set to expand its global network with the opening of the first Nigerian store.

Located in the heart of Lagos, the premier opening took place at the Ikeja City Mall on Good Friday.

Poised to provide Nigerians with the quintessential distinctive shopping experience like no other, the state-of-the-art store will provide customers with the innovative and creative fusion of the company’s wide range of shirt styles for men and women, and a selection of ties, cufflinks and other accessories. The store will also re-emphasise Hawes & Curtis’ impeccable heritage, offering a wide range of distinguished and luxurious styles.

In a statement from the company, “The quality of our products is as high as they were nearly a century ago. The vast majority of our shirts are 100 percent two fold cotton. While we are still proud of our impeccable heritage, we have evolved and developed over the years. We still offer distinguished luxurious style, however, we now offer designs for women as well as gentlemen. Today, we strive to be fashion forward, frequently changing stock to keep ahead of the latest trends and designs.”

The right to open a store in Nigeria is based on the partnership under the indigenous firm, Sleeves Limited. Sleeves Limited, within four years of establishment has grown to become West Africa’s top retailer of Hawes & Curtis products.

Touker Suleyman, chairman, Hawes & Curtis, disclosed that: “Our presence in the Nigerian market has brought about the much anticipated opening of our Nigerian franchise. The enormous potential of the West African market propels our desire to ensure that we provide our customers with a wide variety of our luxurious products to dress for success,” stating further that “our choice of partnership with Sleeves Limited boils down to the recognition of the alignment of our vision and business philosophy.”
