President Goodluck Jonathan ,Tuesday morning, paid tribute to heroes
and martyrs of democrcay for serving as catalysts for the emergence of
civilian government in 1999.
In a nationwide broadcast to mark his one year in office, Jonathan said these heroes of democracy made huge sacrifice and ensured that military dictatorship became a thing of the past.
Jonathan renamed the University of Lagos as Moshood Abiola University in honour the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the late Chief MKO Abiola
