Uni lag Students Protest Over Name Change

UniLag students are protesting the change of name avoid akoka area. Its turning into a violent protest as area boys and hoodlums have hijacked the protest destroying cars. (Via Mr Class)

 

The change of name was announced by President Goodluck Jonathan, during his Democracy Day speech. He affirmed that the step was taken to honour the late patriarch, who died in the fight for democracy.
but it seems the students do not agree with him. The protests are ongoing at Moremi Hostel and Jibowu, amongst other locations. Other students have taken to Twitter to express their anger.
