Court Strikes Out EFCC Case Against Emeka Ugwuonye

The Economic And Finance Crimes Commission (EFCC) case against the Washington Based Lawyer, Ephraim Emeka Ugwuonye has been struck out.
Justice Balogun of the Lagos High court  discharged and acquited Emeka Ugwuonye from charges of criminal breach of trust instituted against him by the EFCC for lack of territorial jurisdiction.

The US based Nigerian lawyer, was facing the criminal charge after he was arrested by the EFCC over charges of stealing and diverting funds belonging to his client.

This is the email I received today from Emeka Ugwuonye, Esq
"I am pleased to inform that the Lagos High Court struck out all the charges filed by the EFCC against me. In doing so, the Court stated that there was absolutely no merit to those charges and that the entire thing was an abuse of the court process and that it was waste of everybody's time. I thank you for your support ".

  1. I don't know who this lawyer is but is there any other collaborating evidence of either his clearance or dismissal of his charges other than his Self serving letter?
